Lisa Robin Kelly started to gain fame in the late 90s as the hot older sister of Eric Forman on That ’70s Show.
Lisa’s blonde hair and sexy figure combined with her strong acting prowess enabled her to perfectly embody the character of Laurie Forman, complete with a self-centered attitude and promiscuous lifestyle. While fans of the actress may have caught her cameo appearances in a long list of other shows, as well as in various made-for-TV movies, most remember her as the fiesty blonde who slugged it out with Kelly Bundy on Married with Children.
Lisa Robin Kelly actually appeared on MWC on two separate occasions in two different roles. Lisa’s first appearance was in 1992 as Carol in the episode Kelly Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (Season 7, Ep.8). Lisa’s second appearance was in the 1997 episode Breaking Up is Easy To Do:Part 1 (Season 11, Ep.14) where she played Heather Talrico, arch nemesis of Kelly Bundy.
In this episode, Lisa’s character Heather Talrico is in a competitive grudge match against Kelly Bundy. Both are auditioning for a role in a boxing movie, which could serve as a big break into acting for the lucky starlet.
The initial confrontation between Heather and Kelly occurs at a gym where they are both getting in shape for the role. Kelly is working out on a stair-master and practicing her lines with her brother Bud when they suddenly notice Heather working out on an adjacent stair-master. After hurling insults back and forth including skank, bimbo, “human thigh master,” and “frat house toy,” Heather challenges Kelly to a boxing match, with the loser giving up her rights to audition for the role.
At the start of the fight, Kelly invokes the classic Bundy phrase “let’s rock” and then proceeds to knock out Heather with an impressive upper cut. Kelly thus secures the role in the movie, and proclaims that she can’t wait to see her face on the big screen. A smiling and elated Kelly then reveals to the audience…well, see in the video above by yourself..
